All events continue throughout the day (unless stated). During the day visit the Clans’ area to purchase Scottish souvenirs, check out your Genealogy, try Scottish food, and see the wonderful Highland cattle. Children’s rides available throughout the day, Highland Bar located in Clans' Village. St Johns First Aid Team on site throughout the day.       



Solo Piping Competition “O'Hagan Vision Care Paeroa"
near Band Rotunda, eastern end of Domain.
9.00am onwards Highland Dancing Competition, western end of Domain by Fire Station.
9.00am onwards Axemen’s Chopping Carnival, by Netball Courts.
9.00am Solo Drumming Competition, under trees near Band Rotunda.



Heavyweight Field Events, Main Arena. See the strong guys Toss the Caber and throw the big weights.
11.00am Clans March to Town Centre led by Pipes & Drums of Thames Valley.

Junior Highland Games, Caber Toss, Hammer Throw, Putt the Stone & Weight for Distance - medal competitions for boys and girls.

This event has been cancelled for 2017.

12 Noon onwards Pipe Bands Contest, adjacent to Band rotunda. Hear and see top Pipe Bands competing in their Sets & Medleys.
12.30pm The Opening Ceremony of the 24th Paeroa Highland Games & Tattoo is to take place in front of the Grandstand. It will commence with the singing of both the New Zealand and Australian National Anthems along with the unofficial Scottish anthem “Flower of Scotland”. The Mayor of the Hauraki District Council, Mr John Tregidga MNZM JP, will then give a short address.
1.00pm Tartan in the Park: Mini Tartans (7yrs & Under), Main Arena.
1.00pm           to 3.30pm Clans Village Mini Stage, adjacent to Main Arena - Entertainment.
4.00pm Tartan in the Park: 8 -15yrs, 16yrs & over, Main Arena.
5.00pm Axemen's Relay, Main Arena.
5.15pm Street March, Bands will march from Liquor King, Normanby Road, to the Domain.
5.30pm Tartan in the Park: Adults, fun and fashionable Tartanwear competion. Main Arena. Enter on the day at the Secretary's Office.
6.30 to 9.00pm approximately Evening Tattoo - 2 ½ hour family spectacular!
